Food and service was very good. We were annoyed because someone had a dog in the pub and it was continually barking while we were there. I have no objection to bringing dogs in but feel they should be under control. We arrived at 6.00pm and left at 8.15 pm and it was barking for nearly all the time we were there.

Food and service were excellent, carvery was great quality and good selection of veg and potatoes. Dauphinoise potato was very nice and unusual to see at a carvery. Only slight criticism is the upsells such as extra pigs in blankets are expensive and was not notified of the price beforehand. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu includes crayons and some activities to keep them busy.

Lovely bruschhetta starter, had to send salad back because avocado was not up to standard. However, it was replaced with a superb Feel good salad which I should have initially chosen. Encountered difficulties on payment and I feel a better system for group payments would be welcomed to avoid similar in future. Thank you our group did enjoy the venue.

Had 3 meals, 2 of the main menu which were very much enjoyed. I went for the carvery and was a little disappointed as wasn’t told there was no meat left before ordering which may have changed my order if I had of known. Also feel we should have got there earlier for it to be hot and fresh. The service was amazing and the little complaint was handled very well by the manager 🙂

Welcoming atmosphere. Fresh warm decor. Great selection of food. Good choice of beers. The server was friendly, polite and warm. There was no pressure to select from the menu until we were ready. The food arrived in good time and was well presented tasty and very enjoyable. Parking: Plenty of room

The boat house is a lovely beautiful place. There was 7 of us that visited earlier today. The staff are so polite and friendly. Warming and welcoming. That was a good start to an amazing experience. I had the carvery. 10/10. It was so good and tasty. Everyone else really enjoyed there meal. I would definitely come back again.

Friendly, welcoming staff. My husband's Hunters Chicken was a bit dry. Once it was pointed out, they willingly and quickly replaced the whole meal, which was 100% better. Delicious and piping hot. My meal was very nice. We would definitely eat there again.

Staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive and efficient. We were shown to a well placed table for 6, near the window. The food was excellent, was served piping hot and enjoyed by everyone. A varied menu to suit all tastes though slightly on the expensive side ( although, on this occasion, we had a 30% off main meals offer which made it very reasonable ). Altogether a very enjoyable evening, thank you.

Excellent service. We dropped in on the off-chance and within 5 minutes were were enjoying a pint and a fantastic roast lunch.

First night hiring out a narrow boat and we made it to Braunston! Arrived late and was quite hungry so decided to go to the Boat House as it was closest and had good reviews! Really friendly staff and the food was tasty however cleanliness was a bit lacking and the food is definitely overpriced!
