My favourite hire boat boatyard. Boats are spotlessly clean, staff are all lovely and helpful. Relaxed way of dealing with customers. Everything on the boats works properly. Boats handle really well.

Had a weekend break away with my wife on a cosy little boat called Wrekin. Had a great time exploring the canal and all the pubs/restaurants along it. The locks were a bit daunting at first but the instructions from John at Union Canal Carriers and the other friendly "sailers" that arrived at the locks at the same time as us helped us through it and I would say we've mastered it now! I can't wait for our next adventure on the canals and will definitely be using Union Canal Carriers again. Might even go with a bigger boat next time!

Fantastic week away. We hired 4 boats 2x 12 birth and 2 x 8 birth and took the Scout group for a weeks holiday around the Warwick ring.
See you in 4 years

We hired a narrowboat with this company , the boat was called Purbeck, and it stole our hearts . we were on it for a week and visited the Coventry canal basin , and slowly chugged back , the boat had everything you needed and more , even a tea leaf strainer plus a mini flask for hot drinks plus a microwave , the tuition given was exelent for 1st time boats ,
There is not much more else I can say , apart from the fact that this holiday was the best I've ever had , it reconnected me with mother nature and made me realise that their is another way of life out there , a much much slower way of life , that moves with the seasons
Thank you all at union carriers for opening my eyes and for lending me your lovely boat for a holiday that I will never forget , hope you enjoyed the cornettos

Our Canadian relatives were visiting so thought I'd try something they've never done before, a canal trip. It turned out to be one of the best days ever, We hired Ouzel II and had 6 adults and 5 children, and to be honest it didn't feel cramped at all. Went up through the locks and through Braunston tunnel to the New Inn Pub, quick drink, turned arounds and came back. £150 what a bargain considering fuel and everything is included. Thankyou for a great day out.

Second Time we’ve hired the Canal Boats from here, All the staff are amazing people, very friendly and welcoming. Had a little problem with the boat during the trip, but they were straight out early in the morning to repair it, we are booking again for next year highly recommended. Ollie one of the staff gave a very thorough description about everything you would possibly need to know about your boat when you get there! Looking forward to going there next year once again highly recommended!

My friends and I have been going on weekend breaks with boats hired from Union Canal Carriers since the late 1980s and they have *always* been excellent. We have never had a problem with the booking process, the boats or the service we have received. I can genuinely recommend them 100%. They are also in a superb location with many interesting routes to explore.

We hired a 35ft boat for a week. One of the best experiences and holidays I have ever had. And the union canal carriers were amazing!

Excellent company, have hired many narrowboats over the years and the 50' Clent was a super little boat i.e. clean, everything worked as it should have done, handled very well and space wise was ideal for two OAP's. Nice friendly staff and a convenient base in a nice little village.
Only complaint that the weather was almost too darned hot and sunny - never thought would say that about the UK!
